Liam Payne and One Direction fans know that he was born 3 weeks early, causing some kidney problems in the long run. Now he shares the good news is that the damaged kidney has healed itself and he officially has two working kidneys, much to his delight. In their book Dare To Dream-Life As One Direction, he explained that most of his younger life was diagnosing and treating his 1 kidney with special care. Liam Payne had a very surprising trip to the hospital yesterday.

The One Direction star had problems with one of his kidneys when he was a child - but he found out during an X-ray that it's okay again.

'Just been for an ultrasound on my kidney turns out its fixed form when I was a baby!!! :o so now I have two :) #weirdnewsoftheday,' TweetsLiam, 18.

Liam - who dates dancer Danielle Peazer, 24 - has previously said that he chooses not to drink alcohol on nights out to 'be on the safe side'.

One Direction's Liam Payne is keen to settle down and have children before he is 25

A friend told The Sun newspaper: "Liam and Danielle are already talking about serious commitment. He's got it all worked out already -- he's really mature for his age.

"The boys were joking he would be next at Marv and Rochelle's wedding -- and he didn't deny it.

"He's said all along he wants to be a young dad. He reckons at 25 he'll be on nappy changing duty."

Meanwhile the band are celebrating huge sales of their brand.
